Zelda Fairy in a Bottle
I just finished this as part of my Geek Chic swap on Craftster. It is a fairy in a bottle from the Super Nintendo game, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I was worried that she would be too big for the bottle, but she came out just small enough to fit. It was kind of hard working from a 16bit screenshot, so I took a little liberty with her.
I used this pattern that I bought on Etsy: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25100988
I changed it a little so that it went along with my ami style, embroidery floss for hair and beads for eyes. The bottle I found at a thrift store after scouring the city for a corked bottle and coming up with nothing. The tag says, “In case of emergency,” because in the game, the fairy is used for health and if you should die, the fairy will automatically bring you back to life.

On a side note, I originally planned to make a fairy in a bottle from the more recent Zelda games (Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess). I have this type of fairy tattooed to my ankle, but it didn’t work out. I couldn’t figure out how to get a glowy effect.
